ANTIPHONARIUM, Polish, secular. Compared with the series of tables that define the types of the St. Magdalen office in Central Europe, published by Halåsz, our variant matches the office encountered only in sources from northern Poland. The cycle of antiphons and responsories on which this type is based was originally typical of the diocese of Mainz. It seems to have diffused from the region of Rhine to east along with the Praemonstratenses in a slightly modified form. Halåsz 1990 pp. 130, 137.
