Search help

Most queries work fine by just typing what you want to find in to the search box and clicking search.

If you want to specify, which metadata fields to query, click 'more options' and enter your query to a corresponding query field.

For publication year, the first field indicates the first year to include in your search and the latter fiel the last year to include. By default, the search query returns all the items possibly falling between these boundaries. To find only items that definitely fall between the boundaries, select 'exclusive'.

By default, the system searches for whole words. Searching for 'missal' returns numerous hits, while searching for 'miss' returns none. It is possible to enter queries for word prefixes by appending an asterix to your query. Searching for 'miss*' returns all items containing words starting with prefix 'miss'.
